The mammoth hook is made with solid iron and is nickel plated to resist weather. The carabiner clip comes with a lock for extra security.

We have been Woof Concept's customers for years! This is our 5th purchase. We first purchased their collar from Bone and Biscuits and the collar was able to withstand everything we threw at it. We decided to give their new collection a try and this leash is made of a very durable webbing - much better than their first generation of leashes. However, we noticed they no longer offer the reflective stripes like they did on the adventure leashes before. But the quality did significantly improve. Looks like we will need to select a few more patterns to add to our collection.

Overall, I like this leash. Unfortunately, I've found that the clip doesn't accommodate many rings on harnesses and collars because the space within the closure isn't big enough for the clip to close around them. Consequently, once my pup outgrew his puppy collar, I've been unable to use this leash with his new harness. I also have safety concerns about the clip because if you use the locking feature on the clip, a quick release in an emergency situation is slowed. I wish there was an option to choose the type of clip that suits one's needs/preferences.

What can I say, this Leash is awesome! I purchased it to match the collar with the same pattern and was not disappointed.
My dog is a puller and I find that the additional buckle really helps me when I want to keep a firm grasp on him and hold him close.
I love the extra security when you attach the leash to ensure the clasp doesn’t open as well. It really helps ease my anxiety. This Leash was well thought out with the owners in mind!
